About DSU Scholarship Program
The DSU Scholarship is an entirely funded regional scholarship programme offered by various Italian universities. You merely need to receive an admissions offer from the university to be eligible for this scholarship. Furthermore, there are no requirements to apply online for the DSU scholarship.

What theory did Galileo teach at the University of Pisa?
At the University of Pisa, Galileo Galilei taught mathematics rather than a particular theory. He received the title of “Lecturer in the Mathematical Subjects” when he was appointed in 1589. Galileo spent most of his time as a professor at Pisa teaching and studying various mathematical subjects, such as geometry and mechanics.
It is important to note that after moving to the University of Padua in 1592, Galileo made his greatest scientific achievements. He kept working on mechanics there and made important advancements in physics and astronomy. He used telescope observations and experiments to support Nicolaus Copernicus’ heliocentric theory, which challenged the geocentric theory that predominated at the time and claimed that the Earth orbited the Sun. These beliefs and his support for the Copernican philosophy later caused him to disagree with the Catholic Church and resulted in his infamous Inquisition trial.
